Professor Carol Kammen is currently the Tompkins County Historian. She has written: Cornell: Glorius to View (2003), First Person Cornell (2005), and Part and Apart forthcoming 2009; married to Michael Kammen, who taught in the Department of History for 42 years; she is the mother of two Cornell graduates.
